Interactive Map of Burns Suppers Worldwide

Please click on the link to see the Burns Supper held in the Conservatory in January this year has been included in the Interactive Map of Burns Suppers Worldwide.
BCL volunteers Fiona, Jane and Joyce organised the Burns Supper for our volunteers. Fiona submitted the entry which has been successfully included. The purpose of the Map is to show that Burns Events are held globally. Hopefully UNESCO will recognise this as proof of living heritage and award the Burns supper "intangible cultural heritage" status Click here to see the Interactive Map |
Belleisle Conservatory AGM
Our AGM was held on Thursday 5th December attended by the members of Belleisle Conservatory Ltd.
Jim Coubrough introduced the committee and provided a comprehensive report on the operation of the charity and conservatory over the past year and explained why there had been a delay in the date for the AGM. Copies of the report are available to members if requested.
It was proposed that the Directors, Jim Coubrough, Stewart Robertson and David Moulds be re elected to the Board. This was unanimously agreed to by all attendees. Likewise for the committee members.Jim also proposed that Stewart Robertson be installed as the Company Secretary this was agreed to by all attendees.
Stewart provided a detailed report on the Charities position with regard to our financial standing for the past year, 23/24.
Jim updated the meeting on the position with the renovation work to be carried out by contractors employed by SAC. It has been agreed that work will start in February 2025 with a contract period of 4 months. It is proposed to have joint meetings with SAC and their contractors early in January to agree procedures and rules to be in place during the contract period.
