The Bee and Honey event, held on Sunday with the Ayr and District Beekeepers Association, was an informative day all about bees.
Families enjoyed the observation beehive, spotting the Queen bee and a talk from Phil McAnespie. The event also featured honey tasting and various honey products. Honey competition exhibits were on display. BCL volunteers organized home baking, refreshments, a tombola, games, a plant stall, and the BCL Shop. The 1st Alloway Boys Brigade ran a Tuck Shop. Despite the wet and windy weather, there was a great turnout, with visitors from as far as America and the youngest attendee being just 8 weeks old. 🐝🐝🐝 |
